My New Fashionista Nikki

Hi friends, today I am gonna introduce Nikki of Barbie fashionista range, she is the newest member of my dolly family!! I tried my best to resist her as long as I could, but the other day I just lost my control nd bought her lol.I only purchase new dolls as I have OCD so sometimes I really end up overspending! :( But at the end of the day I never regret,as I am in love with all my dolls, they never fail to make me happy!!!!!:D

Isn't she gorgeous ? I only have two dark skinned dolls so far,Nicky nd Artsy, dark skinned dolls are not yet popular in my country, here most of the population is born with either whitish complexion or dusky,so they worship anything fair!!!!!But I look forward to the day when the toy shops in my country will be flooded with dark skinned dolls.I personally love collecting all sorts of dolls regardless of their complexions,as long as I find them adorable & affordable!!!:)

Before I sign off I would request you to share your views on the matter ;) Do you like to work with both dark nd fair skinned dolls or you have a preference ?

Love
Pam

  1. Your pics are nice. I need to take a second look at this Nikki. I didn't realize that she was so pretty.

As for my preferred complexion, I have a very diverse collection but the darker complexion dolls are the majority in my collection. I agree with you all are pretty and if I like I buy. : )

  3. I think she looks great! no wonder you finally got tempted! in my country there isn't many color people as well, but still you can meet them easily. where are you from?

as for my preferred complexion I prefer asian and white dolls the most. I'm not big fan of tanned skin, but natural dark looks good

  5. Congratulation on your purchase, Pam. She is very pretty, photogenic doll and your photos are great.
I've always bought dolls that appealed to me and never really pay attention to the skin colour. But I've noticed I do have hair colour preferences - very few of my dolls are blonde.

    1. Thank YOU so much!:)I agree with you totally, over the years I also developed a passion for non-blonde dolls, any shades of brown,or black does wonder for me,in fact the darker the better!!!
I personally feel, if the doll is fair skinned then the beauty of her face stands out with dark hair!!:):):)

  6. I haven't seen this Nikki in my stores yet. Congrats on getting her!

In particular I collect Black (all skin tones) and Asian dolls. I have some Caucasians but not as many as I have Black dolls. I collect more for the facial features than anything else and that just happens to lean towards Blacks and Asians.

    1. Thanks Muff!:D

I agree with you Muff about the facial features,in fact they matter the most if you are gonna click your dolls.Over the time while clicking my dolls one more thing I discovered that some of the facial features are really versatile, with a little bit of hair style and outfit change you can create something new every time, which is amazing, and gives me the immense pleasure as a photographer!!:D :D

  8. My collection started with only AA dolls. This was later expanded to anyone with a pretty or interesting face. I have this Nikki doll, I only bought her for her body and outfit though, I truly wish the toy company would start making affordable dolls with a larger variety of faces and skin Tones

  9. Is it Nikki's original dress? I've never seen one like this. I live in Poland and our wholesalers think, that consumers also like only fairskinned blondes. However, I favour the dolls that are different from the majority: either very pale, Asian, or of other ethnicity, usually with dark hair.

  11. Aha, she looks gorgeous, Pam! I must say, dolls with darker complexion are much prettier compared to those with a lighter skin. Good thing you were able to add her to your collection. Surely, my daughter will love her when she sees this post. :)
